Adam Jarrett, founder and principal of Custom Stair Runners, carries forward a family tradition of craftsmanship dating back to the 1970s. His late father, Arnold K. Jarrett, dedicated 45 years to the carpet industry, passing down his knowledge and expertise through years of working side by side. From an early age, Adam developed a deep appreciation for the trade, combining hands-on experience with a formal business degree. In 2000, he established JarrStar Carpet Company, building upon his family's legacy with a commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service.
Recognizing the evolving needs of homeowners and the growing demand for tailor-made stair runners and rugs, Adam founded Custom Stair Runners in 2007. His vision was to create a niche company specifically for bespoke stair runners, custom area rugs, and luxury carpeting, bringing together exceptional design, expert craftsmanship, and exceptional service. Since its inception, Custom Stair Runners has served more than 2,500 clients throughout Long Island, Manhattan, and the greater Tri-State area, while collaborating with distinguished interior designers and architects worldwide. Today, Adam continues to lead the company's growth, maintaining the same dedication to excellence and attention to detail that have defined his family's trade for generations.
